"Jahan se bhi pakadta hoon...paach ser gosht nikal deta hoon". Remember i? You got it right, Salman starrer Veer released way back in 2010.
The box office dud is again in news with Salman being sued by the producer of the periodical drama Vijay Galani for the tune of 250 crores.
"I have been subject to defamation by Salman since the movie flopped, which has dented my reputation in the industry", alleged Galani.
The feud dates back to 2010. However at that time the friction between Salman and films director Anil Sharma was more in news.
According to producer Galani, after the film bombed at box office, Salman started finding faults with the remuneration agreement and wanted changes to it. "I already paid him 10 crores beforehand. Had the movie profited I was to pay 15 crores more. Since the movie flopped, it was not paid as per the agreement", said Galani.
Salman then approached CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes Association), which ruled in favor of the producer. Then Salman approached Federation of Western India Cine Association (FWICE), which sided with the actor. Post that Producers' Guild sided with Galani on the issue.
Galani pleaded that all this controversy and loss of reputation thereof, has resulted in huge loss of business to him and wants compensation accordingly. Only time will tell, if Salman pays to Galani and how much. That's a 250 crore question, isn't it?
